COKE
quality

Illawarra Coke Company (ICC) produces approximately 250,000 tonnes of metallurgical and foundry coke per annum. Coke can be supplied in a range of standard sizes or custom-made to suit individual specifications. The company is committed to understanding the technical requirements of its customers and continually improves its performance to achieve the best product possible for their different needs. High operating standards at both sites ensure the consistent product quality required by ICC’s customers.

Both Corrimal and Coalcliff Cokeworks are accredited to the Australian and International Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008.

The Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia, immediately south of Sydney, is a traditional coal mining area and supplies the high grade Bulli seam hard coking coal, critical to the high quality of coke produced by ICC. It should be noted, however, that the Illawarra Coke Company is not a supplier of coal.

Both Coalcliff and Corrimal Cokeworks produce strong and abrasion resistant coke that has a number of properties to ensure optimum performance of cupolas and blast furnaces.

ICC’s coke is characterised by low reactivity, good post-reaction strength, low porosity & excellent high temperature strength and stability.

Both of ICC’s two sites are located adjacent to major transport systems which also link with the Port Kembla Coal Terminal, only a few kilometres away, for handling shipments to ICC's export customers.
