The Illawarra Coke Company (ICC) aims to achieve a high standard of environmental care and management in conducting its business. Our approach to environmental management seeks continuous improvement in performance in all aspects of our business from production to product delivery.

We undertake to:

• comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards; uphold the spirit of the law; and apply standards that minimise any adverse environmental impacts from our operations, products or services;
  
• communicate openly with government and the local community on environmental issues, and contribute to the development of policies, legislation and regulations impacting on us;
  
• ensure our employees, customers and suppliers are informed of our Environmental Policy and are aware of their individual responsibilities in relation to our business;
  
• ensure our management systems identify, monitor and control environmental risks or impacts arising from our operations and seek ways to continually improve our performance.
