home community relations COMMUNITY An integral part of Illawarra Coke Company’s (ICC) environmental excellence is community relations. The company strives to work closely and harmoniously with the Corrimal and Coalcliff communities, and particularly with residents in close vicinity to the two ICC sites. The company has an ongoing commitment to be open and transparent abut the operations at both Corrimal and Coalcliff Cokeworks and to this end has developed a positive and ongoing community relations program. This commitment is the reason for the existence of the Corrimal Cokeworks Community Consultative Committee (CCCCC). This committee consists of four independent local representatives, all of whom have volunteered their services to meet regularly with senior company representatives to discuss general and specific operational issues. Contact details for the Community Representatives are readily available in all communication media, including the regular newsletter `Community Update' reporting on CCCCC meetings or by contacting the Cokeworks. Residents are welcome to attend CCCCC meetings as visitors, but our wide distribution of `Community Update', means that everyone is kept up-to-date on all Corrimal Cokeworks matters. Interested Corrimal residents can add their name to the mailing list by contacting ICC or the last six editions of `Community Update' are available on the Community News page. ICC is prepared to discuss relevant matters with local residents at either Coalcliff or Corrimal on request. Cokeworks representatives would be available to answer any queries relating to cokeworks activities and to provide an update of operations.
