ILLAWARRA COKE COMPANY PTY LTD
Australia's only independent producer of premium grade
metallurgical & foundry coke

The Illawarra Coke Company (ICC) is the only independent producer of metallurgical and foundry coke in Australia and has been privately owned since 1996.

Its two Cokeworks at Coalcliff and Corrimal produce approximately 250,000 tonnes of coke per annum using non-recovery technology. Coke has been produced continuously at ICC's two sites for over 100 years.

The company supplies premium grade metallurgical and foundry coke to Australian and overseas base metals producers for lead and zinc smelting and iron production for steelmaking. ICC's large, strong and abrasion resistant coke has a number of properties to ensure optimum performance of cupolas and blast furnaces.

Cokemaking today is a highly mechanised process requiring specialist expertise to manage and operate to accredited Australian and international standards and to provide a safe working environment for all ICC employees.
